It all started with a simple vision summed up by Giorgio Armani in the words 'Mia casa, tua casa' – 'my house is your house'. So Armani/Aqua restaurant was born, only the second time in the world that the Armani name has come together with a famous dining group.
The design marries the best of East and West in an elegant and minimalist style with an abundance of natural stone and wood, bathed in warm reds and yellows from the amazing glowing wall panels. Motifs blending Armani's sleek minimalism with distinctly Oriental features discretely dot the room.
Diners sashay along a plush red-carpeted catwalk, through swishing doors and into the elegant dining room. A warm smile from the cocktail barman welcomes as the Japanese chefs behind the kaiten sushi bar busily prepare the day's delicacies. Each table is generously appointed ensuring that discreet conversations are not overheard….a rarity in Hong Kong where space is so expensive. A beautiful private dining room lit with a magnificent 18th century Italian chandelier and with commanding views over the Central business district is perfect for small private events.
Armani/Aqua offers fine contemporary Italian and Japanese cuisines served side by side, not as fusion, but as perfectly paired cuisines. The cuisines are presented in one signature menu and can be enjoyed on their own or combined, with say a Japanese starter and an Italian main course.
Armani/Aqua focuses on traditional Italian cooking with a modern flair, Guests choose from a tempting selection of Primi, including fine antipasti, hand-made pastas and al dente risottos. Then move on to Secondi - a sumptuous array of fresh seafood and some of the finest meat cuts available, all prepared to traditional Italian values with a contemporary twist.
The signature Armani/Aqua Japanese dishes are "authentic but not traditional". The emphasis is on beautifully fresh ingredients and elegant presentation. Innovative sushi and sashimi is skilfully prepared at the kaiten sushi bar with seafood carefully selected and flown in daily from around the globe.
